Psalms 141 - 142

Lord, I cry unto thee: make haste unto me; give ear unto my voice, when I cry unto thee. Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

141 Lord, I cry unto thee: make haste unto me; give ear unto my voice, when I cry unto thee.
2 Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.
3 Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.
4 Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to practise wicked works with men that work iniquity: and let me not eat of their dainties.
5 Let the righteous smite me; it shall be a kindness: and let him reprove me; it shall be an excellent oil, which shall not break my head: for yet my prayer also shall be in their calamities.
6 When their judges are overthrown in stony places, they shall hear my words; for they are sweet.
7 Our bones are scattered at the grave's mouth, as when one cutteth and cleaveth wood upon the earth.
8 But mine eyes are unto thee, O God the Lord: in thee is my trust; leave not my soul destitute.
9 Keep me from the snares which they have laid for me, and the gins of the workers of iniquity.
10 Let the wicked fall into their own nets, whilst that I withal escape.

Psalm 142

142 I cried unto the Lord with my voice; with my voice unto the Lord did I make my supplication.
2 I poured out my complaint before him; I shewed before him my trouble.
3 When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then thou knewest my path. In the way wherein I walked have they privily laid a snare for me.
4 I looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul.
5 I cried unto thee, O Lord: I said, Thou art my refuge and my portion in the land of the living.
6 Attend unto my cry; for I am brought very low: deliver me from my persecutors; for they are stronger than I.
7 Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise thy name: the righteous shall compass me about; for thou shalt deal bountifully with me.

141 हे प्रभु, मैं तुझ से प्रार्थना करता हूं, मेरे पास जल्दी आ; जब मैं तेरी दोहाई दूं, तब मेरी ओर कान लगा।
2 मेरी प्रार्थना तेरे सम्मुख धूप की नाईं उपस्थित रहे; और संध्या की बलि के समान अपने हाथों को ऊपर उठाना।
3 हे यहोवा, मेरे मुंह पर पहरा बैठा दे; मेरे होठों का द्वार रखो।
4 मेरा मन किसी बुरी बात की ओर न लगा, कि मैं कुटिल मनुष्यों के संग बुरे काम करूं, और न मुझे उनकी स्वादिष्ट भोजनवस्तु खाने दे।
5 धर्मी लोग मुझे मारें; यह कृपा होगी: और वह मुझे फटकार दे; वह उत्तम तेल होगा, जिस से मेरा सिर न फटेगा; क्योंकि उनकी विपत्तियों में भी मेरी प्रार्थना बनी रहेगी।
6 जब उनके न्यायी पथरीली भूमि पर गिराए जाएंगे, तब वे मेरे वचन सुनेंगे; क्योंकि वे मीठे हैं।
7 हमारी हड्डियाँ कब्र के मुँह पर बिखरी पड़ी हैं, जैसे कोई लकड़ी को काटकर धरती पर गिराता है।
8 परन्तु हे परमेश्वर यहोवा, मेरी आंखें तेरी ओर लगी हैं; मेरा भरोसा तुझी पर है; मेरे प्राणों को नष्ट न होने दे।
9 मुझे उन फन्दों से बचा जो उन्होंने मेरे लिये बिछाए हैं, और कुटिल काम करनेवालों की युक्तियों से बचा।
10 दुष्ट लोग अपने ही जाल में फँस जाएँ, परन्तु मैं बच निकलूँगा।

142 मैं ने ऊंचे शब्द से यहोवा को पुकारा; मैं ने यहोवा से ऊंचे शब्द से प्रार्थना की।
2 मैंने उसके सामने अपनी शिकायत खोलकर कही; मैंने उसे अपनी परेशानी बताई.
3 जब मेरी आत्मा मेरे भीतर व्याकुल हो गई, तब तू ने मेरा मार्ग जान लिया। जिस मार्ग से मैं चला था उसी में उन्होंने मेरे लिये जाल बिछाया है।
4 मैं ने अपनी दाहिनी ओर देखा, परन्तु कोई भी मुझे नहीं जानता; मुझ से शरण न मिली; किसी भी आदमी ने मेरी आत्मा की परवाह नहीं की।
5 हे यहोवा, मैं ने तुझ को पुकारा है; मैं ने कहा है, तू ही मेरा शरणस्थान है, और जीवितों के बीच में मेरा भाग है।
6 मेरी पुकार पर ध्यान दो; क्योंकि मैं बहुत दुख में पड़ा हूं; मुझे मेरे सतानेवालों से छुड़ाओ; क्योंकि वे मुझसे अधिक शक्तिशाली हैं।
7 मेरे प्राण को बन्दीगृह से निकाल, कि मैं तेरे नाम की स्तुति करूं; धर्मी लोग मेरे चारों ओर घेर लेंगे; क्योंकि तू मेरे साथ उदारता से व्यवहार करेगा।
