Book of Enock 33 - 34

From there I went on toward the outer edges of the earth; where I saw large animals each different from the other, and birds various in their form, beauty, and call. 2To the east of these animals I perceived the outer edges of the earth, whereon the heavens come to rest. The gates of heaven stood open, and I saw how the stars of the heaven come forth.

Chapter 33

1From there I went on toward the outer edges of the earth; where I saw large animals each different from the other, and birds various in their form, beauty, and call. 2To the east of these animals I perceived the outer edges of the earth, whereon the heavens come to rest. The gates of heaven stood open, and I saw how the stars of the heaven come forth. I counted the gates out of which they proceeded, and wrote them all down, as they came out one by one according to their gate of exit. I wrote down their names according to their constellations, their times and their seasons, as the angel Uriel, who was with me, pointed them out to me. 3He showed me everything, and wrote it down. 4He also wrote down for me their names, their regulations, and their operations.

Chapter 34

1From there I went on towards the far northern parts of the earth. 2And there I saw a great and glorious wonder at the farthest parts of the whole earth. I saw there heavenly gates opening into heaven. The northern winds proceed from them. When they blow, there is cold, hail, frost, snow, dew, and rain. 3And from one of the gates they blow for blessing; but when they blow from the other two gates, it is with violence and harm. They blow over the earth violently
