Chapter 24

1And from there I went to another place on the earth and he showed me a mountain of fire that blazed day and night. 2And I went beyond it and saw seven magnificent mountains all differing each from the other, and adorned with rocks magnificent and beautiful, valuable and precious, glorious in their shapes. Three mountains were towards the east, one founded on the other, and three towards the south, one upon the other, and with deep rough ravines, no one of which joined with any other. The Book of Enoch the Prophet 28 3And the seventh mountain was in the middle of these,26 surpassing them in height, was like the seat of a throne, and fragrant trees surrounded it. 4And among these was a tree such as I had never smelt before, and none of the others smelled like it, nor does any other. It had a sweet fragrance more aromatic than all others, and its leaves and its blossoms and its branches never wither. And as for its fruit, it was similar to the cluster of the date palm. 5Then I said, "How beautiful this tree is, and how fragrant, and how lush the leaves, and its blossom delightful to the eye!" 6At that time Michael, one of the holy angels who was with me— and he was leading them
