Chapter 7

 

 

1And they, and all the rest with them, took wives for themselves; they selected a woman for themselves, one each. And they proceeded to go in to them and be defiled with them. And they taught them sorceries and incantations, and demonstrated herbal potions to them. 2And the wives got pregnant, and gave birth to three races. First, the huge giants, three thousand cubits tall.9 The giants brought forth10 the Naphelim, and the Naphelim brought forth the Elioud. And they were increasing in power in accordance with their size. 3They ate up the crops of the humans, and thus the humans were not able to supply enough food for them. 5Then the giants turned against humankind, to devour them. 6And they began to violate the birds, and beasts, and reptiles, and fish, and began to eat the flesh of one another, and were drinking the blood 7Then the earth joined in after the manner of those lawless ones.
