Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast. I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth all things for me. He shall send from heaven, and save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up. Selah. God shall send forth his mercy and his truth.

4 My soul is among lions: and I lie even among them that are set on fire, even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword.
5 Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; let thy glory be above all the earth.
6 They have prepared a net for my steps; my soul is bowed down: they have digged a pit before me, into the midst whereof they are fallen themselves. Selah.
7 My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise.
8 Awake up, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.
9 I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: I will sing unto thee among the nations.
10 For thy mercy is great unto the heavens, and thy truth unto the clouds.
11 Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: let thy glory be above all the earth.

Psalm 58

58 Do ye indeed speak righteousness, O congregation? do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men?
2 Yea, in heart ye work wickedness; ye weigh the violence of your hands in the earth.
3 The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.
4 Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: they are like the deaf adder that stoppeth her ear;
5 Which will not hearken to the voice of charmers, charming never so wisely.
6 Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth: break out the great teeth of the young lions, O Lord.
7 Let them melt away as waters which run continually: when he bendeth his bow to shoot his arrows, let them be as cut in pieces.
8 As a snail which melteth, let every one of them pass away: like the untimely birth of a woman, that they may not see the sun.
9 Before your pots can feel the thorns, he shall take them away as with a whirlwind, both living, and in his wrath.
10 The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.
11 So that a man shall say, Verily there is a reward for the righteous: verily he is a God that judgeth in the earth.

2 हां, तुम मन में दुष्टता करते हो; तुम पृथ्वी पर अपने हाथों के उपद्रव को तौलते हो।

3 दुष्ट गर्भ से ही पराए हुए होते हैं: वे जन्म लेते ही झूठ बोलते हुए भटक जाते हैं।

4 उनका विष सर्प के विष के समान है: वे बहरे नाग के समान हैं जो अपना कान बन्द कर लेता है;

5 वे जादूगरों की आवाज नहीं सुनते, जो कभी बुद्धिमानी से जादू नहीं करते।

6 हे परमेश्वर, उनके मुंह में उनके दांत तोड़ दे; हे यहोवा, जवान सिंहों के बड़े दांत तोड़ दे।

7 वे लगातार बहते पानी की तरह पिघल जाएं: जब वह अपने तीरों को चलाने के लिए अपना धनुष चढ़ाए, तो वे टुकड़े-टुकड़े हो जाएं।

8 घोंघे की तरह जो पिघल जाता है, उनमें से हर एक मर जाए: एक स्त्री के असमय जन्म की तरह, कि वे सूरज को न देख सकें।
