Psalms 9 - 10

I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvelous works. I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High. When mine enemies are turned back, they shall fall and perish at thy presence.

9 I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.
2 I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.
3 When mine enemies are turned back, they shall fall and perish at thy presence.
4 For thou hast maintained my right and my cause; thou satest in the throne judging right.
5 Thou hast rebuked the heathen, thou hast destroyed the wicked, thou hast put out their name for ever and ever.
6 O thou enemy, destructions are come to a perpetual end: and thou hast destroyed cities; their memorial is perished with them.
7 But the Lord shall endure for ever: he hath prepared his throne for judgment.
8 And he shall judge the world in righteousness, he shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness.
9 The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.
10 And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.
11 Sing praises to the Lord, which dwelleth in Zion: declare among the people his doings.
12 When he maketh inquisition for blood, he remembereth them: he forgetteth not the cry of the humble.
13 Have mercy upon me, O Lord; consider my trouble which I suffer of them that hate me, thou that liftest me up from the gates of death:
14 That I may shew forth all thy praise in the gates of the daughter of Zion: I will rejoice in thy salvation.
15 The heathen are sunk down in the pit that they made: in the net which they hid is their own foot taken.
16 The Lord is known by the judgment which he executeth: the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah.
17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.
18 For the needy shall not always be forgotten: the expectation of the poor shall not perish for ever.
19 Arise, O Lord; let not man prevail: let the heathen be judged in thy sight.
20 Put them in fear, O Lord: that the nations may know themselves to be but men. Selah.

Psalm 10

10 Why standest thou afar off, O Lord? why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble?
2 The wicked in his pride doth persecute the poor: let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined.
3 For the wicked boasteth of his heart's desire, and blesseth the covetous, whom the Lord abhorreth.
4 The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.
5 His ways are always grievous; thy judgments are far above out of his sight: as for all his enemies, he puffeth at them.
6 He hath said in his heart, I shall not be moved: for I shall never be in adversity.
7 His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and fraud: under his tongue is mischief and vanity.
8 He sitteth in the lurking places of the villages: in the secret places doth he murder the innocent: his eyes are privily set against the poor.
9 He lieth in wait secretly as a lion in his den: he lieth in wait to catch the poor: he doth catch the poor, when he draweth him into his net.
10 He croucheth, and humbleth himself, that the poor may fall by his strong ones.
11 He hath said in his heart, God hath forgotten: he hideth his face; he will never see it.
12 Arise, O Lord; O God, lift up thine hand: forget not the humble.
13 Wherefore doth the wicked contemn God? he hath said in his heart, Thou wilt not require it.
14 Thou hast seen it; for thou beholdest mischief and spite, to requite it with thy hand: the poor committeth himself unto thee; thou art the helper of the fatherless.
15 Break thou the arm of the wicked and the evil man: seek out his wickedness till thou find none.
16 The Lord is King for ever and ever: the heathen are perished out of his land.
17 Lord, thou hast heard the desire of the humble: thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear:
18 To judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that the man of the earth may no more oppress.

9 हे यहोवा, मैं अपने पूरे मन से तेरा धन्यवाद करूंगा; मैं तेरे सब अद्भुत कामों को प्रगट करूंगा।

2 मैं तेरे कारण आनन्दित और मगन रहूंगा; हे परमप्रधान, मैं तेरे नाम का भजन गाऊंगा।

3 जब मेरे शत्रु पीछे हटेंगे, तब वे तेरे साम्हने गिरकर नाश हो जाएंगे।

4 क्योंकि तू ने मेरा न्याय और मेरा मुकद्दमा कायम रखा है; तू न्याय करते हुए सिंहासन पर विराजमान है।

5 तू ने अन्यजातियों को डांटा है, तू ने दुष्टों को नाश किया है, तू ने उनका नाम सदा सर्वदा के लिए मिटा दिया है।

6 हे शत्रु, विनाश सदा के लिए समाप्त हो गए हैं: और तू ने नगरों को नाश कर दिया है; उनका स्मरण उनके साथ मिट गया है।

7 परन्तु यहोवा सर्वदा बना रहेगा; उसने न्याय के लिये अपना सिंहासन तैयार किया है।

8 और वह जगत का न्याय धर्म से करेगा, वह लोगों का न्याय धर्म से करेगा।

9 यहोवा उत्पीड़ितों के लिये शरणस्थान है, संकट के समय में भी शरणस्थान है।

10 और तेरे नाम के जाननेवाले तुझ पर भरोसा रखेंगे, क्योंकि हे यहोवा, तू ने अपने खोजनेवालों को नहीं छोड़ा।

11 यहोवा जो सिय्योन में रहता है, उसका भजन गाओ; लोगों के बीच उसके कामों का प्रचार करो।

12 जब वह खून के लिये पूछताछ करता है, तब उनको स्मरण करता है; वह दीन लोगों की दोहाई को नहीं भूलता।

13 हे यहोवा, मुझ पर दया कर; मेरे उस संकट पर विचार कर, जो मैं अपने बैरियों से सहता हूँ, हे मृत्यु के फाटकों से मुझे उठानेवाले,

15 अन्यजाति लोग अपने बनाए हुए गड्ढे में डूब गए हैं; जो जाल उन्होंने छिपाया था, उसी में उनका अपना पैर फँस गया है।

16 यहोवा अपने न्याय से जाना जाता है: दुष्ट अपने ही हाथों के कामों में फँस जाता है। हिग्गायन। सेला।
17 दुष्ट नरक में डाल दिए जाएँगे, और वे सभी राष्ट्र जो परमेश्वर को भूल जाते हैं।
18 क्योंकि ज़रूरतमंदों को हमेशा के लिए भुलाया नहीं जाएगा: गरीबों की आशा हमेशा के लिए नाश नहीं होगी।

2 दुष्ट अपने अभिमान में दीन-दुखियों को सताता है; वे अपनी कल्पनाओं में फँस जाएँ।

3 क्योंकि दुष्ट अपने मन की अभिलाषा पर घमण्ड करता है, और लोभी को आशीर्वाद देता है, जिस से यहोवा घृणा करता है।

4 दुष्ट अपने मुख के अभिमान के कारण परमेश्वर की खोज नहीं करता; परमेश्वर उसके सारे विचारों में नहीं रहता।

5 उसके मार्ग सदैव भयंकर होते हैं; तेरे निर्णय उसकी दृष्टि से बहुत ऊंचे हैं; और उसके सब शत्रुओं पर वह घमण्ड करता है।

6 उसने अपने मन में कहा है, मैं विचलित नहीं होऊँगा: क्योंकि मैं कभी विपत्ति में न पड़ूँगा।

7 उसका मुँह शाप, छल और कपट से भरा है; उसकी जीभ के नीचे दुष्टता और व्यर्थता है।

8 वह गांवों के गुप्त स्थानों में बैठता है; गुप्त स्थानों में वह निर्दोषों की हत्या करता है: उसकी आंखें गरीबों के विरुद्ध गुप्त रूप से लगी रहती हैं।

15 दुष्ट और बुरे मनुष्य की भुजा तोड़ डाल; उसकी दुष्टता को तब तक खोजता रह जब तक कि वह न मिल जाए।

16 यहोवा युगानुयुग राजा है; उसके देश से अन्यजाति नाश हो गए हैं।

17 हे यहोवा, तूने नम्र लोगों की अभिलाषा सुनी है; तू उनका हृदय तैयार करेगा, तू सुनने के लिए अपना कान लगाएगा:

18 अनाथों और उत्पीड़ितों का न्याय करने के लिए, ताकि पृथ्वी का मनुष्य फिर से उन पर अत्याचार न करे।
