1 Chronicles 13 -14

And David consulted with the captains of thousands and hundreds, and with every leader. And David said unto all the congregation of Israel, If it seems good unto you, and that it be of the Lord our God, let us send abroad unto our brethren everywhere, that are left in all the land of Israel, and with them also to the priests and Levites which are in their cities and suburbs, that they may gather themselves unto us:

1 Chronicles 13

13 And David consulted with the captains of thousands and hundreds, and with every leader.
2 And David said unto all the congregation of Israel, If it seem good unto you, and that it be of the Lord our God, let us send abroad unto our brethren every where, that are left in all the land of Israel, and with them also to the priests and Levites which are in their cities and suburbs, that they may gather themselves unto us:
3 And let us bring again the ark of our God to us: for we enquired not at it in the days of Saul.
4 And all the congregation said that they would do so: for the thing was right in the eyes of all the people.
5 So David gathered all Israel together, from Shihor of Egypt even unto the entering of Hemath, to bring the ark of God from Kirjathjearim.
6 And David went up, and all Israel, to Baalah, that is, to Kirjathjearim, which belonged to Judah, to bring up thence the ark of God the Lord, that dwelleth between the cherubims, whose name is called on it.
7 And they carried the ark of God in a new cart out of the house of Abinadab: and Uzza and Ahio drave the cart.
8 And David and all Israel played before God with all their might, and with singing, and with harps, and with psalteries, and with timbrels, and with cymbals, and with trumpets.
9 And when they came unto the threshingfloor of Chidon, Uzza put forth his hand to hold the ark; for the oxen stumbled.
10 And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Uzza, and he smote him, because he put his hand to the ark: and there he died before God.
11 And David was displeased, because the Lord had made a breach upon Uzza: wherefore that place is called Perezuzza to this day.
12 And David was afraid of God that day, saying, How shall I bring the ark of God home to me?
13 So David brought not the ark home to himself to the city of David, but carried it aside into the house of Obededom the Gittite.
14 And the ark of God remained with the family of Obededom in his house three months. And the Lord blessed the house of Obededom, and all that he had.

1 Chronicles 14

14 Now Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and timber of cedars, with masons and carpenters, to build him an house.
2 And David perceived that the Lord had confirmed him king over Israel, for his kingdom was lifted up on high, because of his people Israel.
3 And David took more wives at Jerusalem: and David begat more sons and daughters.
4 Now these are the names of his children which he had in Jerusalem; Shammua, and Shobab, Nathan, and Solomon,
5 And Ibhar, and Elishua, and Elpalet,
6 And Nogah, and Nepheg, and Japhia,
7 And Elishama, and Beeliada, and Eliphalet.
8 And when the Philistines heard that David was anointed king over all Israel, all the Philistines went up to seek David. And David heard of it, and went out against them.
9 And the Philistines came and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim.
10 And David enquired of God, saying, Shall I go up against the Philistines? And wilt thou deliver them into mine hand? And the Lord said unto him, Go up; for I will deliver them into thine hand.
11 So they came up to Baalperazim; and David smote them there. Then David said, God hath broken in upon mine enemies by mine hand like the breaking forth of waters: therefore they called the name of that place Baalperazim.
12 And when they had left their gods there, David gave a commandment, and they were burned with fire.
13 And the Philistines yet again spread themselves abroad in the valley.
14 Therefore David enquired again of God; and God said unto him, Go not up after them; turn away from them, and come upon them over against the mulberry trees.
15 And it shall be, when thou shalt hear a sound of going in the tops of the mulberry trees, that then thou shalt go out to battle: for God is gone forth before thee to smite the host of the Philistines.
16 David therefore did as God commanded him: and they smote the host of the Philistines from Gibeon even to Gazer.
17 And the fame of David went out into all lands; and the Lord brought the fear of him upon all nations.

6 तब दाऊद और सब इस्राएली बाला को गए, जो किर्यत्यारीम भी कहलाता है, जो यहूदा का था, कि वहां से यहोवा परमेश्वर का सन्दूक ले आएं, जो करूबों के बीच रहता है, और जिसका नाम उस पर रखा गया है।
7 और उन्होंने परमेश्वर के सन्दूक को अबीनादाब के घर से एक नई गाड़ी में लादकर बाहर निकाला: और उज्जा और अह्यो ने गाड़ी को खींचा।

12 और दाऊद उस दिन परमेश्वर से डर गया, और कहने लगा, मैं परमेश्वर के सन्दूक को अपने पास कैसे ले आऊँ?

13 इसलिए दाऊद सन्दूक को अपने पास दाऊदपुर में न ले आया, बल्कि उसे गती ओबेदेदोम के घर में ले गया।

14 और परमेश्वर का सन्दूक तीन महीने तक ओबेदेदोम के घराने के पास रहा। और यहोवा ने ओबेदेदोम के घराने और उसके सब सामान को आशीष दी।

14 सोर के राजा हीराम ने दाऊद के पास दूत भेजे, देवदार की लकड़ी, राजमिस्त्री और बढ़ई भेजे, ताकि उसके लिए भवन बनाया जाए।

2 दाऊद को एहसास हुआ कि यहोवा ने उसे इस्राएल का राजा बनाया है, क्योंकि उसके लोगों इस्राएल के कारण उसका राज्य ऊँचा हो गया है।

3 दाऊद ने यरूशलेम में और पत्नियाँ ब्याह लीं, और दाऊद के और बेटे-बेटियाँ पैदा हुईं।

8 जब पलिश्तियों ने सुना कि दाऊद को इस्राएल के राजा के रूप में अभिषिक्त किया गया है, तो सभी पलिश्ती दाऊद की तलाश में गए। और दाऊद ने यह सुना, और उनका सामना करने के लिए निकल पड़ा।

9 तब पलिश्ती आए और रपाईम की घाटी में फैल गए।

10 तब दाऊद ने परमेश्वर से पूछा, क्या मैं पलिश्तियों पर चढ़ाई करूँ? और क्या तू उन्हें मेरे हाथ में कर देगा? यहोवा ने उससे कहा, चढ़ाई कर; क्योंकि मैं उन्हें तेरे हाथ में कर दूँगा।

11 तब वे बालपराजीम तक आए; और दाऊद ने उन्हें वहीं मारा। तब दाऊद ने कहा, परमेश्वर ने मेरे शत्रुओं पर मेरे हाथ से जल के समान आक्रमण किया है: इसलिए उन्होंने उस स्थान का नाम बालपराजीम रखा।

12 और जब उन्होंने अपने देवताओं को वहाँ छोड़ दिया, तब दाऊद ने आज्ञा दी, और वे आग में जला दिए गए।

13 और पलिश्ती फिर से घाटी में फैल गए।

14 तब दाऊद ने परमेश्वर से फिर पूछा; और परमेश्वर ने उससे कहा, उनके पीछे मत जा; उनसे दूर हो जा, और शहतूत के पेड़ों के सामने से उन पर आक्रमण कर।

15 और जब तू तूत वृक्षों की फुनगियों में से किसी की आवाज सुने, तब युद्ध के लिये निकल जाना; क्योंकि परमेश्वर पलिश्तियों की सेना को मारने के लिये तेरे आगे आगे चला गया है।
16 इसलिये दाऊद ने परमेश्वर की आज्ञा के अनुसार किया: और उन्होंने पलिश्तियों की सेना को गिबोन से लेकर गेजेर तक मार डाला।
17 और दाऊद की कीर्ति सब देशों में फैल गई; और यहोवा ने उसका भय सब जातियों के मन में भर दिया।
